Al-Hilal have reached an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville. The deal for the Netherlands international is valued at a total package of £60m, comprising an initial £55m guaranteed fee and an additional £5m in potential bonuses. This agreement follows West Ham‘s acceptance of the offer on Tuesday afternoon, granting the player clearance to undergo a medical examination.
The Riyadh-based club’s offer was reportedly accepted swiftly by West Ham. This development comes after the Hammers had previously declined a bid in the region of £40m for Summerville. Aston Villa was also reportedly interested in the player.
Transfer Details and Previous Bids
Prior to Al-Hilal‘s successful bid, Roma had also been attempting to secure Summerville‘s services. The Serie A club’s proposal of £39m was rejected by West Ham on Monday. Reports indicate that Roma does not intend to increase their offer to match Al-Hilal‘s terms and is now exploring alternative targets, including Norway‘s World Cup stars Antonio Nusa and Andreas Schjelderup.
The news of Al-Hilal‘s late bid for Summerville was initially reported earlier on Tuesday afternoon. The Saudi club’s offer was nearly double the amount of Roma‘s initial proposal.
Should the transfer be finalised, Summerville‘s sale would rank among the highest in West Ham‘s history, following Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes.

The potential sale of Summerville represents a significant financial boost for West Ham, who were relegated from the Premier League in May. The club has been actively working to reduce its wage bill and generate funds. This summer, West Ham has already sold midfielder Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham for £85m.
With the completion of Summerville‘s sale, West Ham is expected to have raised more than £150m from the transfers of Summerville and Fernandes this summer.
