Manchester United are reportedly looking to strengthen their squad with potential new signings in midfield and defence. The club has already secured several players, including Karl Darlow, Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Tynan Thompson, who joined permanently from Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United has reportedly received a boost in their pursuit of Aurelien Tchouameni, with reports indicating that Real Madrid may be open to selling the midfielder. Earlier this month, United made an enquiry for the player, who has been with Real Madrid for four years and has made 195 appearances, winning the Champions League and La Liga.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Tchouameni has already signed a new contract with Real Madrid and is considered an important player by Jose Mourinho, suggesting he is likely to remain at the club. Romano also indicated that a move for Eduardo Camavinga is unlikely, as the player wants to stay at Real Madrid and work under Mourinho.
Another midfielder being considered is Carlos Baleba from Brighton. United have reportedly shown renewed interest in the 22-year-old, though contact with Brighton has not yet been made. For any potential transfer, a compromise on the price would need to be reached.
