Despite the reported agreement on personal terms, an official bid for Kone has not yet been submitted to his current club, Roma. Reports suggest that Manchester United are preparing an offer for Kone, with one Italian publication indicating a potential bid of €50 million.
Midfield Reinforcements and Competition
The need for midfield reinforcements at Manchester United is highlighted by the departure of Casemiro and a long-term injury sustained by Manuel Ugarte at the World Cup. The club recently missed out on signing Elliot Anderson, who joined Manchester City in a significant transfer.
Manchester United have already secured two midfield signings this summer. Andrey Santos joined from Chelsea, and Youri Tielemans also moved to Old Trafford after his release clause at Aston Villa was triggered.
